The Watertown Main Street Program has been accredited by the National Main Street Center in Washington DC. What does that mean? The National Accreditation designation process evaluates established commercial district revitalization programs according to 10 performance standards like work plans, budgets, and community support. These standards provide benchmarks and guidelines on the way an organization should be functioning and serve as incentives for improvement.
Watertown is among 20 Wisconsin communities that received the designation for 2009. You can check us out on the National Main Street website www.mainstreet.org.
